Before I begin the blog series on our 5 step plan for cybersecurity , I want to share a few alarming facts:
- According to a report by Tektonika, only 38% of global organizations claim they are prepared to handle a cyber attack.
- Infosecurity Magazine states that, 95% of cybersecurity breaches are due to human error.
- Malware and web-based attacks are the two most costly attack types — companies spent an average of US $2.4 million in defense ,as reported by Accenture
- Juniper Research’s article states that the total cost for cybercrime committed globally has added up to over $1 trillion dollars in 2018.
There are countless terrifying facts out there. Thus, the time to protect and improve your cybersecurity is now.
We use a 5-step process based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework that helps our Customer reduce their cybersecurity risk. The 5 steps are Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover and I will explain them in-depth in the upcoming blogs.
